OUTREACH TA PARA SA BATASource/ Author: Kasey Jane R. Banci
"The best way not to feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, and you will fill yourself with hope'.– Barak Obama
The MU High School Batch 2012 planned to reunite ourselves just to freshen up and build new memories. We wanted to have new and unique activity until we came up with decision to have an Outreach Program not just to enjoy ourselves but also give smiles to those less fortunate orphans. Considering that we are still college students and we don’t have enough resources to meet what it takes to organize such activity, we really need to find ways to pursue our plans. But since we are the batch with full of extraordinary ideas, hope and determination, our financial problem was solve through caroling. Everyone gave their full effort, time and energy during our Christmas caroling session within the city to raise money.
Everything went smoothly especially that we were assisted by our HS Principal Dr. Melven A. Morales and of course to our vigorous Alumni Director, Mr. Jeric M. Difuntorum. During the day of the Outreach Program at St. Joseph Orphanage in Brgy. Gango, Ozamiz City last April 3, 2013, we were very happy especially that the kids had fun and they were wearing their big beautiful smiles.
Having a successful outreach program was very fulfilling and heartwarming. The beautiful smiles of the kids were priceless. I would like to take the opportunity to thank my batch mates for their cooperation and to Misamis University.
The Alumni Affairs is conducting a survey on Misamis University graduates to find out thier personal and professional growth as well as their employability status after graduation. Our sincerest appreciation for the prompt reply to this request.
